Outdoor projector screens are increasing in popularity.  This is especially true in the spring and summer months.  Although free-standing solutions are the norm, there is a growing demand for outdoor-certified screens that can be mounted to structures.  This is especially true with backyard patios, outdoor dining and poolside applications.  This recent customer inquiry was for a retractable outdoor screen and how it could be installed on an uneven surface such as board and batten siding.

Transcripts:

4:00:00 PM               Jaime.l - Thank you for contacting Elite Screens Technical Support; how may  I help you?

2:26:22 PM          Customer - I am looking at the Yardmaster Manual OMS120HM.

2:26:38 PM          Customer - It will be wall mounted.

2:27:13 PM          Customer - My question is - are there specific spots on the screen the mounting brackets attach to?

2:27:53 PM               Jaime.l - the brackets that this screen comes with are sliding brackets

2:28:12 PM               Jaime.l - you'll notice that there is a track on the backside of the housing

2:28:21 PM               Jaime.l - you can position the brackets anywhere on that track

2:28:43 PM          Customer - Great

2:28:48 PM               Jaime.l - here is a copy of the manual: http://elitescreens.com/images/download/material/userguides/User_Guide_YardMaster_Manual_series_V041916.pdf

2:28:51 PM          Customer - I am attaching to an exterior wall

2:28:57 PM          Customer - That has "boards and batten"

2:29:06 PM          Customer - it's not a flat wall

2:29:12 PM               Jaime.l - then this screen will work fine

2:29:29 PM               Jaime.l - just be sure that the screen is perfectly leveled so that the material rolls straight down

2:29:41 PM          Customer - Is it in stock?

2:29:45 PM               Jaime.l - Don’t allow for the material to rub on the housing when deploying the screen

2:30:07 PM               Jaime.l - yes, you can order it here: http://shop.elitescreens.com/yard-master-manual.aspx

2:30:16 PM          Customer - the 120" 16:9.....

2:30:25 PM               Jaime.l - correct

2:30:31 PM          Customer - how heavy is it?

2:30:55 PM          Customer - I would come buy and get it myself if someone can help me shove it into my Jetta station wagon

2:31:00 PM               Jaime.l - it is 23 lbs. but our warehouse team can assist you if needed.

2:31:17 PM               Jaime.l - Also, you get free shipping when buying it through the sales link I provided.

2:31:27 PM          Customer - Is it just the housing that makes this "outdoor"

2:31:54 PM               Jaime.l - the design of the screen housing protects the screen from the elements

2:32:12 PM               Jaime.l - that's what makes it different to the regular manual screens

2:32:59 PM               Jaime.l - So it looks like the Yard Master Manual will be a good fit. Is there anything else I can help you with?

2:33:47 PM          Customer - Thanks Jaime

2:33:52 PM          Customer - That's it

2:34:10 PM               Jaime.l - sounds good

2:34:14 PM               Jaime.l - thank you for contacting us today

2:34:21 PM               Jaime.l - have a good rest of the day
