The Aeon CLR® and CineTension B Demonstrate What is Needed for Optimal Use With Ultra Short Throw Projectors
Ultra Short throw (UST) projectors create a large image using a throw distance of just inches instead of requiring a large throw distance that standard “long throw” projectors require. Two-piece UST projection sets like this can dwarf large flat panel TV displays at a fraction of the cost and without the shadow effects of traditional projector arrays. Because a UST projector spreads out light at such a short distance, any uneven portion of the projection surface will distort the image and ruin the overall picture.
At first glance, a wall looks flat enough to project on. It may be a flat matte or even textured but either way, every inconsistency will be revealed once a UST projector shines on the wall. It is absolutely essential that a perfectly flat, taut, surface is used for this type of application.
