Kestrel Tab-Tension CLR® 5 Series
The Kestrel Tab-Tension CLR® 5 is an electric free-standing projector screen with Ceiling Light Rejecting® technology to combat the washout effect from overhead light sources in bright room environments. The material ascends and descends into its housing for a non-invasive solution where permanent wall or ceiling installations are not practical.
The StarBright® CLR® 5 material is configured in a tab-tensioned design to ensure a taut, flat, and ripple-free projection surface suitable for ultra-short throw projectors.

- StarBright® CLR® 5 (SBCLR® 5) Ceiling Light Rejecting material absorbs up to 80% of overhead lighting
- Designed for use with Ultra-Short Throw (UST) tabletop/bottom mounted projectors

Check your projector’s documentation to find out if your projector has a 5 volt or 12 volt trigger output. If it does then the ZSP-TR02 is compatible with your projector.
A: The ZU12V is compatible only with Electric/Motorized drop down screens using Ver 2.0 or 3.0 circuit boards. You can typically find this information on your Radio Frequency remote control.
Electric/Motorized Screens that are not compatible:
• Floor-Rising Electric/Motorized screens
• All Yard Master Electric/Motorized screen
• Drop down Electric/Motorized screens
– New RC1 circuit board. For example, Radio Frequency remote has part number ZRC1-RF on the back.

The ZIW In-Wall switch is compatible with all of Elite’s electric retractable floor rising, wall/ceiling and in-ceiling/recessed screens, EXCEPT for the VMAX Dual®, VMAX Tab-Tension Dual, Starling, Starling 2, Starling Tab-Tension and the Starling Tab-Tension 2 Series.

The adaptor can easily be made by using a CAT-5 networking cable and a RJ-45 networking connector. See image below and please note that the RJ-45 is exclusively designed to be compatible with only a projector’s trigger output. Any other type of device’s trigger output that you choose to utilize with our product is to your own discretion and is not covered under warranty should there be any malfunction. There are a few possible things you could check:
1. Make sure your wall plug has power and that the screen is properly plugged in.
2. If the screen works well with the wall switch but not with the remote controls, ensure that fresh alkaline batteries are installed in the remote controls.
3. Check your screen’s internal fuse. (Please call our Tech Support for location of fuse before tampering with the screen.)
4. Our Home2, CineTension2, Kestrel, Raptor and VMAX Plus 3/4 screens feature a tubular motor equipped with a Thermal Relay. This feature will automatically shut off the screen should your motor become too hot, thus preventing overheating of the motor. To correct this, simply leave the screen alone for 20-30 minutes and try again.
