"Elite Screens made the right moves, offering detailed drawings for each screen they offer"
Why did I choose Elite Screens. Elite made a very wise and intelligent business decision, the moment you locate the model and narrow your research (at their website) your instantly viewing detailed drawings with specific dimensions of each screen. There is no wasted time digging, just to find out other dealers don't offer this very helpful resource. I have a drop-in suspended ceiling and while Elite offers a true recessed screen mounting option, I found those models would either A) would deploy and hit my entertainment center, or B) if I went with the smaller version, I had to sacrifice the maximum screen size, if I didn't take a different approach. I chose model VMAX120H114C-AUHD which is a Ceiling Mount screen, it has dual screens (one for 16:9 and one for 2.35:1) and it's an Acoustic screen, so it can deploy in front of my Pioneer KURO (on the wall) and my Center Speakers. I cut the ceiling tile grid, and installed this screen, recessed and on (4) all thread 5/16" dia. rods, on a system of electrical Uni-Struts that are attached to the floor joist about the ceiling grid. That gave me a very robust hanger system, that allowed me complete height adjustment, and allowed a normal ceiling mount screen, to be fully recessed and barely visible. This approached maximized the size screen I could afford to install and not interfere with my entertainment system. Quality wise, the motors are completely silent. There was no "screen curl" that sorta had me worried, but turned out to be an non-issue. But the whole experience, the installation, the pre-planning and selection process, went off without a hitch, because of the dimensional data that Elite provided. This model screen does not have an IR Trigger connection directly on the screen. There is an IR connection on the hand held remote, and you do get a short IR cable, which you can plug into the Trigger port on the Projector. But the Default will operate the 16:9 screen only, when you initiate power ON for the Projector.

FAQ's
Q: What screens do short throw projectors work with?
A: Elite's non-tensioned screens are great with standard throw projectors, but just like any non-tensioned projector screen, we don’t recommend using it with an ultra/short throw projector. Non-tensioned screens are not completely flat and while it may have little, if any, perceivable effect with a standard projector’s image, it can distort ultra/short throw imagery. We recommend purchasing Elite's tab-tensioned screens utilizing the CineWhite® or CineWhite® UHD materials or any of Elite's fixed frame screens if an ultra/short throw projector is required.
Q: Can I buy a small screen material sample?
A: Yes, you can buy a MaxWhite® screen material sample by clicking here.
Buy an AcousticPro UHD screen material sample by clicking here.
Q: Can I use the AcousticPro UHD material in a room with ambient light?
A: The AcousticPro UHD performs at its best in a light controlled environment, not in a room that will have ambient light. The material is a fabric with a special weave pattern for projection use. It is suggested to go with our standard CineWhite® material if a matte white screen is needed. Or better yet, our very best CineGrey 3D® or CineGrey 5D® material will perform better with a higher gain and Angular-Reflective front projection with ambient light rejecting technology.
Q: How do I synchronize the ZU12V Universal 12 Volt Projector Trigger to my Elite electric screen?
A: For the instructional guide on synchronizing the ZU12V, please click here.
To watch the instructional video, please click here.
A: The power cable length for all VMAX Dual® Series models is approximately 70.8" (1.8M). Note: This measurement is accurate for USA only, other countries may be equipped with different lengths for each model.
